A Unique Destination
The Lazy Lizard Independent Brewhouse is a truly local brewery and restaurant that showcases the best crafts on offer in the North West Province. Local beer and delicious food combine to create a truly unique experience where time slips away and the stresses of living in Africa’s economic powerhouse are replaced by the realisation that the paradise of the African bush is well within reach.
The Lazy Lizard lies at the gateway to one of South Africa’s best weekend experiences. Only 30km from Fourways, 30 km from Pretoria West, and 20 km from Hartbeespoort we offer visitors both a singular destination as well as a stopover for those on their way to weekend getaways.
We are open Thursday to Sunday and Public Holidays, other days by prior arrangement, with live music on most Saturday's and Sunday's. Our food is fresh - nothing microwaved or frozen - so our chefs only begin the preparation of your meal once your order is placed so please be patient as great quality food takes time but the wait is well worth it. Sit and relax with us so if you are rushing to catch a plane you might want to consider a drive-through at the local fat-food take-away.
For the kids we have a playground with a jumping castle, jungle gyms and swings.
Seating is limited and our guests tend to spend hours with us so reservations are advisable but we are always happy to accommodate walk-ins where a table is available.
