About Us

Mohlabetsi is a Lodge steeped in tradition. The original camp was built circa 1960 and over the years has been expanded, modernized and improved to where it is today – a luxury Lodge, pampering guests from around the world and endorsed by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa as a four star Game Lodge.

Jacques, Nina and their colleagues warmly welcome guests to their relaxing and friendly oasis in the bush. Set in the vast Balule Nature Reserve, part of the Kruger Park, this is home to a superb variety of fauna and flora, including the legendary "Big 5".

Accommodation comprises of various traditional thatched-roof rondawels, decorated in an African theme. Each rondawel features an en-suite bathroom with an al fresco shower. Guest amenities are provided along with hairdryers, and personal safes to store valuables.

The accommodation is insect-proofed and there are overhead fans and air-conditioners. We have two double rondawels and four twin rondawels, into which we can install a third bed.

We also have two family rondawels, which have a double room interleading into a twin room, each with its own facilities. Dinners are served under the stars in our boma, with a roaring campfire and beautifully presented African cuisine. In addition, there is a sparkling pool to cool off in during the warm summer days.
