About Us

Sterling Bush Lodge is an upmarket private Game Lodge offering a relaxed intimate safari experience. With a small number of guests on the lodge staying in one of the four luxury rooms is like being on your very own luxury game lodge. The entire lodge can also be booked exclusively, giving you your very own private room in the bush. As you relax on the deck at the pool and view incredible wildlife scenes, you’ll be able to completely relax in an intimate bush surrounding giving you a sterling safari experience.

Situated in malaria-free North-West province of South Africa the lodge is within 20 minutes’ drive from the nearest town Brits and within one hour’s drive to O.R. Tambo International Airport. All services such as medical, police, shopping centres are available in Brits and other tourism activities are within half an hour’s drive from Brits and include a trip to Pilanesberg offering the Big 5.

Our climate at Sterling Bush Lodge allows for all year vacation in the beautiful pristine bushveld.


The lodge has four luxurious rooms with en-suite bathrooms, with a shower, toilet and basin. With the four rooms sleeping eight people makes it ideal to book the entire lodge for ultimate luxury and privacy. The view from each room overlook the infinity swimming pool with jacuzzi and waterfall for your enjoyment.

As you lie in bed and take in your tantalizing surroundings. You’ll find it very hard to leave the comfort of your room. Tasteful décor compliments the African design and overall focal point in the large stack doors folding away and inviting the bush into your room ultimately frames the changing African landscape perfectly.


Our menu is well designed to include traditional African cuisine rich in flavour and become part of your holiday memories. We make sure to serve the very best quality food ensuring an unforgettable delicious dining experience to be complimented with the pairing of the correct wines with each meal.

Snacks are also supplied throughout the day with a variety of coffees and teas to enjoy at the pool deck between meals or as the sun rise in the bushveld.


Nestled in the bushveld far from city lights the lodge is surrounded by breath taking scenery, abundant wildlife, birdlife and ideal photographic conditions.

The night sounds of Africa will welcome you from the Night Owl (Tjar) calling its mate, the Jackal calling for the hunt or the Lion in the distance starting an African dialogue with his brothers and sisters.

Step out of your room onto the deck overlooking the pool listening to the cascading water of the waterfall and then head to the living room or bar for something delicious to eat or drink.

Our large rooms give you all the excitement of a safari adventure coupled with the ultimate in comfort. Your large room comes complete with a king-size bed, butler’s tray, bedside lamps, chairs and an en-suite bathroom – everything you would expect from a deluxe hotel.

The lounge and bar area allow for viewing of game that frequently pay the lodge a visit to graze on the lush green lawn around the lodge. Should you take a shower in the early morning or afternoon and booked in one of the two corner suites then with the shower windows open you will be able to see the animals from your shower feeding.


With our game view vehicle, we offer game viewing during our game drives allowing you to experience a diverse and concentration of wildlife up even closer than what you can expect.

We also have a lookout near a watering hole where the animals come to drink and the photographic opportunities a re limitless. Any number of animals and species could visit the waterhole any time of the day.

Birds, Monkeys, Baboons, Duiker, Klipspringer, Bushbuck, Impala, Giraffe, Dassie, Guinea Fowl, Nyala, Zebra and Blesbuck have been seen from the lookout. Other nocturnal animals such as the Honey Badger, Porcupine, Jackal, Night Owl, Bushbabies, Owls, Civit, Small Spotted Genet and Large Spotted Genet can be encountered at night Game drives at chance.


Just 20 minutes’ drive from the oldest mountain range in the World, the Magalies Mountain Range is 200 million years old and offers a number of exiting day trips to a variety of experience-based activities.

Travelling with a cable car up the oldest mountain the Magalies Mountains, taking a scenic balloon trip in the area, visit to a Cheetha rehabilitation facility, water based activities, visit to a vulture restaurant feeding some of the last Cape Vultures colonies in South Africa, scenic flights over a meteor impact sight which has created an enormous crater filled with water, visit to an Elephant sanctuary, Monkey sanctuary or a trip to North West Big 5 Game Reserve in Pilansberg – Madikwe.
