The ecosystem is home to over 200 species of birdlife. From water birds like the Malachite Kingfisher and Fish Eagles to Swallows and Sugar-birds, you will be amazed by the unique birdlife sightings during your stay. Ask management to give advice on the forest and grass walks on the property and when guided tours are scheduled.
Valley of The Rainbow is located in a private nature reserve in a secluded valley surrounded by mountains, approximately 20 km from Dullstroom and only two hours’ drive from Johannesburg. The estate is in a malaria and bilharzia-free area, with a mild climate, and guests can experience fly-fishing in rivers and lakes surrounded by indigenous forests.
